Katy Perry visits The Mütter Museum in Philadelphia

Katy Perry took break from her Prismatic World Tour on Wednesday to tour the macabre medical museum.
Wearing a grunge outfit she showed no fear as she went on a private tour of The Mütter Museum in Philadelphia.

The museum has an array of medical oddities and pathological specimens, with everything from malignant tumours to the tallest human skeleton in North America.

The 29 year old Katy Perry loves her pepperoni pizza, so much in fact she left her Philadelphia concert on Tuesday night wearing it.

And her fans loved it, with hundreds mobbing her as she exited the Wells Fargo Center.

Fans later gathered at the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps to see her after she announced during her show a meet and greet there.

Obama played host for Katy Perry at a White House dinner in honour of the 46th anniversary of the Special Olympics and admitted he felt ‘grateful’ she was there.

Obama said when introducing her, “We have just one of my favorite people performing tonight, Katy Perry. We are so grateful to her being here tonight”.

He added, “I love Katy Perry. She is just a wonderful person.”

“I’ve just met her mom and now I know why she is such a wonderful person, but I just want everybody to know she is on tour right now and so, for her to take time out to do this, is really special and we really want to say thank you to her for doing this.”

Katy who brought her mother, Mary Hudson, to the event has performed twice before for the President and has said she banned her pastor parents from watching her sing at the Commander-in-Chief’s second inauguration in 2012 because they didn’t vote for him.

She said, “My parents are Republicans and I’m not. They didn’t vote for Obama, but when I was asked to sing at the inauguration, they were like, ‘We can come.’ And I was like, ‘No, you can’t. I love you so much, but it’s the principle.”
