Katy Perry flirts with Karl
Today host Karl Stefanovic was left speechless at the end of a interview with pop superstar Katy Perry.
The interview, that aired this morning, also saw the singer proudly declare herself a feminist, saying she now understands what the term means.
“It just means that I love myself as a female and I also love men,” Perry said.
At the start of their chat the breakfast TV host explained to Perry that he was excited to have the rare opportunity to speak to her.
“We’ve got this entertainment dude who is, like really protective of his patch,” Stefanovic said, explaining that he usually just hosted the Today Show.
After a discussion that included Perry advising children to “stay focused in school” and being shown potential Aussie partners.
“I’m so glad I could be your first,” Perry said to the shocked host.
After a few second of stunned silence, Stefanovic managed to eke out the words “me too” before calling the pop star a “crazy woman”.
Katy Perry adds more Australian shows
Katy Perry’s upcoming Prismatic Tour is proving to be some of the hottest concert tickets of the year.
Last night the American star added a fourth Brisbane show, a fifth Sydney show and a seventh Melbourne show to the Australian leg of her world tour, which starts in Perth on November 7.

The shows bring her Australian tour to 20 shows total, meaning Perry will spend nearly two months in the country for the tour.
Yesterday Katy Perry tweeted: “Let’s just say, I AM FEELING THE LOVE!”.
Tickets for the new shows are on sale now through Ticketek.

Katy Perry says Miley Cyrus needs a spanking
Cyrus then posted a series of tweets that poked fun at Perry’s ex-boyfriend John Mayer. Cyrus’s diss may also have been aimed at Perry’s ex-husband, comedian Russell Brand, a sex addict who has admitted to bedding scores of women.
“I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do,” Perry said on Tuesday. “And then she tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been. We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!” Cyrus was not impressed, tweeting a snappy comeback. The Wrecking Ball singer, who is currently on her Bangerz tour, followed that up with some fan art capturing the kiss. “Don’t you act like you didn’t love it”, Cyrus said.
Katy Perry stands out in McDonald’s inspired outfit
Perry is currently in Japan, where she dressed cheerfully for a press conference on Sunday.
Katy wore a McDonald’s inspired outfit which was in fact by Moschino, with the fast food company’s easily identifiable red and yellow hues. The outfit consisted of a red knit dress with the McDonald’s golden arches on it, although in a heart shape often favoured by the design house, and also the words ‘One billion served’ printed across it.
Katy had amatching bag and also sported red suede heels and sheer black tights. The singer wore a cute striped bow as a headband in her jet black bob and completed her look with a gold charm bracelet and red lipstick.
Katy posed with a group of young women at the conference for U-Express Live 2014, which was held at Saitama Super Arena, not far from Tokyo. The women in question, were in fact Girls’ Generation, a South Korean girl group.
Katy Perry lands in Tokyo
Katy Perry seemed determined to maintain a cheerful demeanour after landing at the Narita international Airport in Tokyo on Saturday.
The 29-year-old musician was grinning from ear to ear looking cute in a turquoise jumper and skirt combo printed with multicolour dinosaurs.
This May Katy Perry will begin her international Prismastic tour which will start in the UK then take her through the US. The tour ends in November in Australia. On Wednesday she surprised fans when she announced on Twitter she had helped a friend deliver a baby in a living room.
